Welcome to Your Mindful Parenting Community
Parenting with Presence
A 7 week journey begins September 18th
Where are our role models for mindful parenting? So many of the Buddhist teachings we turn to for guidance were shaped by renunciants—people who left behind family life, not lived through it. Even today, many senior teachers in the West aren’t parents, leaving a gap for those of us trying to raise children with presence, patience, and practice.
And let’s be honest: parenting is overwhelming. We’re exhausted, time-starved, and often unsure how (or if) we can integrate meditation into our daily lives—let alone teach our kids mindfulness.
That’s why we’ve gathered seven longtime Buddhist practitioners who are also parents. Each week, one teacher shares a pre-recorded talk rooted in their own lived experience, offering practical, heart-centered teachings for the path of mindful parenting.
This Course Includes:
7 weekly teachings from respected Buddhist parent-practitioners
Two live Zoom panels with our full lineup of teachers (dates TBA) for shared wisdom, Q&A, and community support
A growing community of fellow meditators and parents navigating this wild, tender, transformative path
Week 1 : Meeting The Changing Child with Carlos Alberto - parenting through impermanence
Week 2 : Let the Process Shape You: Staying Open to Uncertainty and Change with Adreanna Limbach - having a child and non-self
Week 3 : Discovering the Sacred in Daily Family Life with Scott Tusa - experiencing joy in the midst of difficulty
Week 4 : Staying Present for the Turbulent (and Tender) Moments with Jackie Stewart - practices for strong emotions
Week 5 : The Not Good Enough Parent with Lodro Rinzler - realizing we (and our children) are basically good, whole and complete as is
Week 6 : The Four Immeasurable Ways of Loving Your Child (and Yourself)” with Cathy Crane - four methods for cultivating boundless love
Week 7 : TKTK with Ethan Nichtern
All of our teachings come from the perspective that you don’t need to be a “perfect” parent. You just need to show up.

Carlos Alberto
Carlos Alberto is a seasoned meditation practitioner with over 30 years of experience.
As the founder of TimeToSIT.com, Carlos offers themed live meditations online, promoting the integration of consciousness into daily life.
-
Cathy Crane
Cathy’s work bridges the processes of scientific inquiry and meditation. Having the fortune to work on two Cosmos series with Carl Sagan and Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Cathy found the connection between the first-person method of investigating the mind through Buddhist contemplative practices and scientific methods of observation. As interesting as that was, none of that compares to her most important teachers; her wise one year old grandson, Luca Bear and her three daughters, Rachele 35, Isabella 33 and Coco 20.
