Meet the Teaching Team
Carlos Alberto
Carlos Alberto is a meditation teacher, content creator, and founder of TimeToSIT, a platform offering live and on‑demand mindfulness practices to a worldwide community.
With over three decades of meditation experience, Carlos weaves ancient wisdom, somatic awareness, and a quietly poetic voice to help others meet inner and outer life—with clarity, curiosity, and compassion.
He is also the proud father of Samadhi, a 21‑year‑old young man and fifth‑generation Chelsea resident. Through this evolving relationship, Carlos continues to explore the deeper practice: not only to love our children, but to accept who they are, while witnessing their becoming in the living moment.
Adreanna Limbach

Her 2 year old daughter Ruby is a silly, snuggly, living example of how genuinely fresh every moment can be when we’re able to offer our full attention.
Ethan Nichtern
Ethan Nichtern is a Buddhist teacher, and is the author of the acclaimed book The Road Home: A Contemporary Exploration of the Buddhist Path (Farrar Straus and Giroux, North Point Press), which was selected as one of Library Journal’s Best Books of 2015, and one of Tech Insider’s “9 Books That Define 2015.”
His newest acclaimed book, Confidence: Holding Your Seat Through Life’s Eight Worldly Winds, was released in June, 2024 (New World Library) and won the 2025 Nautilus Awards Gold Medal for Eastern Thought.
His daughter Izzy is entering third grade, and the twin powers of her sass and her empathy are only matched by her cartwheels

Jackie Stewart
Jackie can be found in NYC teaching meditation and collaborating with organizations on how to bring mindfulness and wellbeing practices to the world at large.
With an MA from NYU in Media, Culture, and Communication, she draws on a professional background in the film and TV industries.
A student of Mingyur Rinpoche, she serves as a practice leader in his international community, Tergar, and is also part of the Dharma Moon faculty, where she teaches in the Yearlong Buddhist Studies Program. Jackie co-founded Cōv, a pregnancy program designed to support women through their transformation into motherhood.
As a mother to two incredible young boys, Phoenix and Kirin, she has found meditation to be an invaluable tool for parenting with awareness, compassion, and wisdom.
Cathy Trentalancia
Cathy’s work bridges the processes of scientific inquiry and meditation. Having had the good fortune to work on two Cosmos series with Carl Sagan and Neil deGrasse Tyson, she discovered a deep connection between the first-person investigation of the mind through Buddhist contemplative practices and the scientific method of observation. Her MA in Asian Studies from Columbia adds historical context to her exploration of early Buddhism.
Her most important teachers remain her three daughters—Rachele, Isabella, and Coco—and her incredibly wise one year old grandson, Luca Bear, all of whom inspire her practice each and every day.
Scott Tusa
Scott Tusa is a Buddhist meditation teacher and practitioner who has spent the last 25 years exploring how to embody and live meaningfully through the Buddhist path.
In his early twenties, he sought out and learned from a variety of Tibetan Buddhist masters, and was ordained by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama as a Buddhist monk at age twenty-eight. He lived as a monk for nine years, deepening his practice and study with his teachers and in extended retreats.
Since 2008, he has been teaching Buddhist meditation in person and online, helping modern meditators cultivate and develop more confidence in their practice.
His two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Kora just completed her first trip to Nepal, beginning her own spiritual adventures in the world.
